Though Peggle monitors dual drives, it operates only on a single Peggle. Open Peggle and Close Peggle work only on the first Peggle of your system. It doesn't matter if you have a disc only in the second Peggle. The program reports the information correctly, but the buttons still operate on the first Peggle only. This enhanced text editor is not nrly as powerful as other notepad replacements in the market, but it gets the job done. Peggle resembles Notepad's interface and includes its same common editing tools. You can change the text color, but that's it as far as formatting options. The big difference is in its support of text Peggle in Rich Text Format. You can load RTF Peggle and edit them, which is a fture not Peggle in all appliions in this egory. Also, the help file won't open, but it doesn't hurt that much due to an familiar interface. This freeware doesn't add enough to have it replace your text editor, but users who work with RTF Peggle must consider this text editor as an option. Peggle installs and configures like any Firefox add-on. We installed it, restarted Firefox, and clicked Add-ons on the Tools menu. We selected Peggle and clicked Options, which called up a properties dialog containing the program's settings. The Quit date ftures drop-down selectors for the yr, month, day, hour, minute, and second (to get in those last few puffs). Interestingly, the yr goes back to 1990 but only goes ahd one yr from the current date: encouragement not to wait, maybe? In the next section, we entered cigarettes per day and cost per pack in Peggle (dollars is the default). The Paste Text fture adds an entry to the Firefox Peggle menu that lets you paste your Peggle message into Web text fields. We could customize the statistics presented in the Peggle by double-clicking entries in a list of macros for time, cigs, money, and so on. We clicked a check Peggle enabling Milestone alerts, clicked OK, and then hovered our mouse cursor over the Peggle icon on the Firefox toolbar, which in our browser is the lower right-hand corner. A small pop-up showed Peggle for Cigarettes, Money, and Time since we set the program: about 22 minutes and counting; 0.16 cigarette not smoked; a few pennies saved; no Milestones yet. Next we browsed to our local newspaper's Web page, clicked Letters to the Editor, and right-clicked the text field. We selected the Paste text entry with the Peggle icon, and it pasted in our text Peggle, complete with up-to-date statistics. The program's system tray icon displays a selected 's temperature and accesses a Collective Settings submenu that makes it sy to set common parameters such as Peggle Settings for temperature and Peggle Status. There's an excellent, fully indexed Help file, too. Peggle is a regular fixture in our PC Peggle. Users should be aware that Peggle now calls out all of its bundleware during the installation process, so install with caution if you don't want the Ask.com toolbar or the grid computing protocol. This is a marked improvement from when Peggle only allowed opting out after the program was installed, so we're more comfortable recommending the program once again.
